SERVPRO of South Greenville County Dries Finished Basement In A Few Days.
This homeowner experienced a disaster after several days of rain in Greenville. SERVPRO of South Greenville County received a call around 11 pm after this homeowner discovered his flooded basement. The homeowner had gone down into the basement to retrieve something. As soon as he stepped off the last step in the dark, he immediately knew something was wrong. The carpet in the basement was squishy and wet. As he took another step, it only got worse. He made it to the other side of the room to turn on the light and realized water had seeped into the carpet.
Our crew was dispatched and arrived at the home within two hours. Our Crew Chief inspected the entire basement and discovered rainwater had seeped into the basement and saturated all the carpet in every room. The SERVPRO team extracted the water and placed equipment to stabilize the basement for the night. The following morning, air movers were set under the carpet to dry it out. After a couple of days, the entire basement was dry, and our crew prepped the area for reconstruction.
